Gota D’Água Camps is a fast-growing brand that, like all other surfcamps and hostels, has invested heavily in producing content and boosting social media. In this video, they wanted to show what it would be like to tour the mythical Ribeira do Cavalo in Sesimbra, a place that many call paradisiacal.
That’s why one of the founders, Miguel Pereira, wanted the film to be called Paradise Beach, a clever way of attracting more clicks to the website. The focus of the video was the people and their emotions, much more than just the location itself. The truth is that the purpose of this film was not to promote this specific tour but to serve as brading for the main brand.
Of course, filming in paradise has its challenges, not least because accessibility is more like hell. Walking for 25 minutes loaded down with equipment is easier written than done. Still, it all worked out and the end result is there for all to see. The opportunity to make a short film about a place we love so much was extremely rewarding, so here we leave you with what is an experience in paradise but on land.
