At the end of the day, the good stories are the ones we want to tell, so this was definitely the project for us. A short film based on a song that talks about overcoming and getting closer to our goals, even with obstacles in front of us.
Sacik Brow is one of the most gifted talents to emerge from HipHop culture in Portugal. After a forced absence, and after overcoming his obstacles, Sacik has been reborn to present the track Ferro and to make a fresh start.
Although the music video is a tribute to martial arts (specifically MMA), the idea behind the project was to convey a universal idea of drive and ambition. Of taking advantage of every moment we have to be our best selves.
With this concept in mind, inspired by a song full of power and dynamics, we decided to make a bold video in which the artist is not very present, as a kind of narrator of the story, but only at specific moments.
Edmilson Mendes as the main character and Edmilson Gomes as the secondary character, even though they are acting here, are both national MMA talents whose goal is to reach the UFC. As is the referee himself, João Vítor Costa, who is not only an actor, but also a former athlete and current referee for the Portuguese MMA Federation.
