Putzgrilla have decided to take a turn towards a truly activist attitude. They continue with the mindset of partying and madness, but this time breaking down barriers of stereotypes and inequality. The concept for the theme Quem Manda Aqui (Who’s in Charge Here) took a feminist turn, not least because it featured the Portuguese drag queen Favela Lacroix. A new Brazilian funk project that promises to put an end to oppressions and phobias.
The latter is led by the vision of entrepreneur Paulo Silver (CEO of NewCollective), responsible for several digital companies but known above all for his parties such as: Revenge Of The 90’sSwagOn, IloveBaileFunk and bringing Elrow to Portugal.
In this video clip, the idea was to invert society’s traditional roles: to convert a traditionally masculine symbol into a symbol of feminine power.
The concept was therefore to take the classic male-only workshop, with pornography all over the walls, and turn it into a real pink salon, with matching monkey suits. Below, we leave you with the video clip in which all the pre-established barriers are erased.
