The aim of the blog is to reflect, document, create and share.
Nowadays, there’s no better way of promoting a company or brand than by producing content. Since we’re a small team and our job is already to produce content, we’ve never had much of an opportunity to do this for GAFFVisuals. The concept is very simple: to consistently produce content in various formats that allows us to share opinions and reflections on the audiovisual medium, marketing associated with video, the day-to-day running of the company, work vlogs, video tips, etc…
“Put your money where your mouth is”
It was precisely with this thought in mind that our focus and strategy shifted to producing quality content on a regular basis for our own company. Let’s think about it. If we believe in and see the impact of the videos we sell to the companies and brands that work with us, how come we don’t follow our own advice? That’s why we made this decision: not only because we want to strengthen our brand and believe that awareness will work in the long term, but also because we can build an audience that might want to watch our films, series, music videos, etc…. In other words, we establish a long-term relationship with people by providing relevant, interesting, entertaining or educational content.
Right fromthe start, our idea was to create our own content. However, there was always a lot of procrastination about it being for us, given that for the first time it wouldn’t be for clients. We felt that the blog could help us show more of what goes on at GAFFVisuals, the people involved and, above all, our mission as a company. We believe that human beings developed the ability to tell stories through communication and since then it has been the core of human existence: be it in cinema, writing, music, painting, sculpture, advertising and all art in general.
We don’t want numbers, we want people
In general, the purpose of a blog is not just to rank in Google searches. Now we want much more than that, something more valuable that can only be achieved with relevant, quality content. Something that shows who we are, our ideals and what we want. Which is just one thing: people. We don’t want more likes, much less favorites, followers or subscribers. We’re fed up with numbers driven by easy entertainment or controversial content, we want to be driven by emotion and inspiration. To be few but good: to create a close-knit community of artists, creatives, directors, and especially curious people who are only interested in the behind-the-scenes magic of cinema and are interested in our work.
Reaching People But The Right People
One thing is certain: GAFFVISUALS will not grow on its own. And if our long-term goal is to be a content producer, we can’t just focus on corporate clients, we have to look inwards to go further. But the conclusion we’ve reached is that if we want more video clients, that’s also the solution! That’s why our focus has now shifted to exclusively producing content that people want to see, but above all content that we’re proud of.
