With GAFFVisuals adding hundreds of clips every month to its library of 4K video content, there is a lot of existing content that remains on our servers unused. GAFFVisuals offers a guaranteed 6-month backup of the raw + project, in the event of additional changes or re-edits of content already made. If the delivery of raw material has not been pre-established, the rights, as well as the service and cost associated with the in-house image bank, are the sole responsibility of GAFFVisuals. However, we give all our clients the opportunity (with no guarantees after 6 months of the entire delivery), to purchase the rights to images associated with their project, or other internal projects (with the rights of the subjects who are present in the project, if applicable). Before making the purchase, it is important to learn about the types of use legally permitted for each type of GAFFVisuals capture license.
License to use GAFFVisuals capture:
The GAFFVisuals capture use license is offered as the standard option. This license gives clients the right to distribute the recording with a wide variety of audience sizes, depending on how and to whom it is being shared.
Standard permissions include:
- Web use – The recording can be used on social networking sites, in mobile applications and on sites such as YouTube or Vimeo. It can also be used in digitally downloaded content. The audience size limit for this type of use on the web is up to 500,000.
- Live performances – The recording can be used in live performances, such as musicals, corporate presentations, concerts and musicals with an audience size limit of 500,000.
- On websites – Videos integrated into current web pages have no audience limit restrictions.
Standard permissions do not include:
- Television distribution – The GAFFVisuals standard capture license does not allow any use in television programs or advertisements. Use is also prohibited for distribution by any cable or satellite transmission.
- Cinema distribution – Distribution in cinemas is not permitted under the standard recording license.
- Over-the-top video distribution (OTT) – Over-the-top video distribution, or streaming services such as Netflix, are not authorized by the standard recording license.
Customized solutions for companies and teams
- In addition to our recording license, GAFFVisuals has additional options to ensure that your team is protected by law and has access to the content they need. These solutions come with all the videos you need and the prices are fixed. Such options include permission for Television Distribution, Cinema Distribution, as well as Distribution to OTT Platforms.
GAFFVisuals is working on an extended corporate solution, available from May 1, 2025: brutos.gaffvisuals.com . The GAFFBrutos platform will be subscription-based, allowing customers to pay per package and have a private control panel with direct access to our servers within their project library.
